Bolt, New Animated Film from DisneyA Look at the Sneak Preview for the new Disney Movie Bolt
Bolt is the latest release from the Disney Animated Studios and is sure to be a smashing success.
Walt Disney Pictures has done it again with their latest film Bolt. Going back to what made the studio such a success, Disney has released an animated masterpiece that is sure to go down as the latest classic in Disney's vault of films. The film is set for wide release on Friday, November 21st, 2008, and looks as though it will be quite a success. The Story behind BoltBolt is the story of a dog who is adopted into a life of show business. He is the star of his own television show, and lives each day defeating bad-guys; all while rescuing his owner Penny time and time again. The only problem, is that he does not realize it is a television show, and instead believes that everything taking place is real. Having been sheltered by the creators of the show, who felt it was more realistic to get the Bolt's true reaction to situations, he also believes he has super-powers. This includes the ability to shoot lasers from his eyes, to send out a "super-bark", and to be much faster and stronger than he really is. This is all about to change though, when he comes face-to-face with the real world for the first time, and sets out to rescue his owner Penny. In his mind, a kidnapping of Penny that takes place on the show is real, and he has to find a way from New York City to Hollywood in order to rescue her. With the help of a cat he is holding hostage, and a hamster that idolizes him, they all set off on one incredible journey. The Voices of the CastLending their talents to the story are John Travolta as the voice of Bolt, and Miley Cyrus as the voice of owner Penny. They are both great, and bring a lot to the table in regards to range of emotion and tone to their voices. Travolta in particular really shines as Bolt, performing both the serious and comedic moments with the unique flair that only he can bring to the table. Equally successful are Susie Essman as the voice of Mittens the cat, and Mark Walton as Rhino the hamster, who also play a large roll in helping Bolt along the way. Other notable voices in the cast include Malcolm McDowell as Dr. Calico (the bad guy in the television show) and James Lipton as the Director of the show. Together the cast is great in all of their respective roles, and they all do a great job at helping the film succeed. Thoughts on BoltBolt is one of those films that is set up to appeal to people of all ages. There is a great blend of a story that is geared towards the younger audience, but many moments of humor and brevity that make it worthwhile for the older audiences. It is a story that strays true to itself from the beginning until the very end, mixing a lot of early action with some heartfelt moments, and keeping it all together with a great sense of humor that will have viewers laughing out loud in the theaters. The animation is top notch, the characters are all strong with a good depth, and film is extremely likable for all those reasons and more. Bolt is a film that is easily recommended for everyone, and one that is sure to be the next great success for Disney at the theater.
