Sesame Street DVD set for October release.
According to the Muppet-obsessed folks over at muppetnewsflash, Sesame Workshop is planning to release a "Sesame Street Nostalgia Box Set" (their quotes, not mine) in October of 2006, complete with Big Bird, groovy afros, bell-bottoms and whacka-whacka guitar. Because you know that nothing says 70's porno - sorry, 70's family-oriented television show - more than whacka-whacka guitar. Now I haven't heard any independent confirmation of this news (which is why I'm hedging my bets with the title), but as soon as I find out, I will let you folks know all about it. In other news, Sesame Workshop is also planning a 2nd DVD box set of The Electric Company, to join the 1st set, which came out in February.
