Disney Studios puts three movies on CinemaNow.com, and plans to make future films available for downloading.
(Source:imdb.com) Disney, a well-known holdout when it comes to movie downloading, announced that it will make three of its movies available at CinemaNow.com. They include the animated feature Chicken Little, and the live-action films Glory Road and Flightplan. Disney is also expected to announce that future films will be made available for download as they are released onto DVD. New films are likely to sell for $20.00 and older titles will sell for $10.00. After being downloaded, the movies can be copied three times, including onto portable devices that use Microsoft's Windows Media Player. However, the films cannot be burned to CD. At this time, the movies cannot be uploaded to Apple's Macintosh computers or iPods. However, the deal with CinemaNow is non-exclusive and Disney has previously distributed its TV shows through Apple's iTunes online store.
