Fantastic Four successful debutcartoon's ratings up among target audience, kids aged 6-11The Cartoon Network calls Fantastic Four's cartoon debut an unqualified success.
(Source: ICv2) Break out the champagne: the animated version of Marvel's Fantastic Four is a hit. The Cartoon Network announced that the series' debut, "Trial by Fire" (which featured Ronan the Accuser), boosted ratings by 19% among the show's target demographic, children aged 6-11. The Fantastic Four animated series, which is produced by France's Moonscope Group, has a very strong anime influence, and features traditional cel animation against computer-generated backgrounds. It's part of the Cartoon Network's Toonami programming block, showing at 8 pm (ET, PT). Unless future FF episodes tank, viewers can expect animated versions of such Marvel properties as Wolverine (animated in India) and Iron Man to come to the Cartoon Network in the fall of 2007. Both cartoons are forerunners to Wolverine and Iron Man live-action feature films. A sequel to 2005's Fantastic Four live-action movie, called Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer, is due in theatres on June 15, 2007.
