Jim Henson show finds new life on DVD
(Source:muppetnewsflash.com) One reason why DVD's have been so cool is that they've given new life to shows that otherwise died on network TV. The Family Guy is but one show that got the Lazarus treatment, thanks to strong DVD sales. Now it appears that Jim Henson's Dinosaurs may find itself in the same position. Dinosaurs was a sadly under-appreciated show that got yanked after just 4 seasons. However, the DVD of the first two seasons hit #11 on the DVD sales chart in its first week. That's pretty freakin' impressive for a 15-year-old show, and just about guarantees that the next 2 seasons will make their way to DVD as well. Will the show ride a wave of fan-mania back to TV? We can but hope.
