Pods are everywhere. No, that's not me succumbing to sci-fi paranoia although I have been prone to that from time to time (I also say the word "Spam" in random places).
No, it's because the Jim Henson Company is punching up the promo wagon by releasing free podcasts on their website.
The first pair of podcasts is to celebrate the 20th anniversary screening of the sadly-underrated Labyrinth, an inspired movie about fairy tales and growing up. The flick featured a surprisingly effective David Bowie as the villainous Goblin King, and the lovely Jennifer Connelly in her first major American role.
However, Labyrinth's critical success didn't translate into solid box office. Gene Siskel and Roger Ebert even labeled it 1986's "shoulda-been-a-hit" movie.
The first spam - I mean, pod- cast features interviews with Mira Velimorivic (Jim Henson's assistant), Gates McPhadden (director of puppet choreography) & puppeteer Karen Prell (Junk Lady, the Worm) as they share stories of working on the film.
The second 'cast features more interviews with actor Toby Froud (Toby), his parents Wendy (puppet builder/Toby wrangler) and Brian Froud (conceptual designer), plus veteran puppeteer Dave Goelz (Didymus).
These are pretty much fluff interviews (everyone says "Wow! Has it really been 20 years?" a lot), although Toby's comment, "I'm here to make everyone feel old" is priceless. So there's really not much there to win over any non-Henson/Labyrinth fans. But hey, they're free.

Oh yeah. Spam.
