Veteran voice actor Jim Cummings will voice the role of Tom Manning in Hellboy: Blood and Iron, which will show on The Cartoon Network in February.
(Source: Comics 2 Film) Jim Cummings has been cast as B.P.R.D. head Tom Manning in the second Hellboy animated sequel, announced supervising producer/director Tad Stones. The sequel, called Hellboy: Blood and Iron, will air on The Cartoon Network in February of 2007, and will be released on DVD in May. "I worked with (Cummings) since Darkwing Duck and since Rescue Rangers," Stones said. "He came in, a big Hellboy fan, and just nailed it." Cummings is a veteran voice actor. His credits include the Master of Games in Teen Titans, Temblor in The Batman, Man-Spider and Shocker in Spider-Man and the Absorbing Man in The Incredible Hulk. He takes over the role popularized by Jeffrey Tambor in the 2004 live-action film. "That was one character we wanted to keep close to the movie," Stones said, "because (Tambor) brought a lot to that character in the movie." Cummings will join Ron Perlman, who played the title character in both the live-action film and both animated sequels. Perlman will also play Hellboy in the upcoming live-action sequel, titled The Golden Army. The first animated sequel, Hellboy: Sword of Storms, will air on The Cartoon Network on October 28 and be released on DVD on February 6.
