Final Fantasy VII and Howl's Moving Castle tops Neilson Vidscan Top 10 titles of 2006.
(Source: Anime News) With only 6 months gone by in 2006, Neilson Vidscan has already made their Top 10 list of anime titles released in 2006. Here they are. 1- Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children 2- Howl's Moving Castle 3- Dragon Ball Z: Fusion Reborn 4- Karas - the Prophecy 5- Samurai Champloo V.7 6- Whisper of the Heart 7- Fullmetal Alchemist V.7 8- Fullmetal Alchemist V.8 9- Naruto V.1 10- Stand Alone Complex 2nd Gig V.3 It's interesting to note that, according to Vidscan, Final Fantasy VII sold almost twice as many copies as Howl's Moving Castle, which sold more than three times as many units as Dragon Ball Z. Vidscan also noted that Hayao Miyazaki still gets a lot of love from the anime community. His movies Spirited Away and Princess Mononoke, both released prior to 2006, would have ranked 5th and 8th on the chart if they had been eligible.
