Sony Pictures gets into the CG animation game with Open Season, due September 29.

HERE is the one-sheet for Sony's animated movie Open Season. The flick, directed by Anthony Stacci, is about a domesticated grizzly bear (Martin Lawrence) who meets a wild, fast-talking mule deer (Ashton Kutcher), who promptly turns his world upside-down.

This is Sony's first attempt to jump on the CG cartoon bandwagon and, from what I've seen so far, you can colour me unimpressed. The animation is underwhelming, and the domesticated-animals-experience-the-wild-outdoors storyline has been done before (Madagascar, The Wild). On top of all that, I'm not a fan of either Martin Lawrence or Ashton Kutcher's acting or movie choices. That's a lot of negatives Open Season has to overcome.

Can Sony pull a rabbit out of the hate with this one? Have a look at the one-sheet, and the trailer over HERE and tell us what you think. Open Season hits theatres September 29.

Is it just me, or do all these CGI films look the same lately?
