Puppet Up! Uncensored takes the show on the road, as they hit Anaheim, Sydney and Melbourne.
(Source: www.puppetup.com) If you're like me, you're often bored on a Sunday after a long week of working your soul-sucking job, figuring out how make your meagre paycheck last to the end of the month (and it's only the first week!), trying to reconstruct the events of last night, and wondering about that scrap of paper with a phone number and "You were amazing. Call me! Love, Rocco" written in pink sparkle ink on it. Well, if it's March 4th, you can always drive to Anaheim and catch The Jim Henson Company's Puppet Up! Uncensored live at The Grove. Conceived as a cross between The Muppet Show and Whose Line Is It Anyway?, Puppet Up! is improv comedy featuring muppets, hosted by producer and occasional Whose Line performer Patrick Bristow. Last November 20th, Puppet Up! showed as an hour-long special (click on the link to read my review) on TBS. After that, Puppet Up! is heading to Australia for the Big Laugh Comedy Festival in Sydney, where it will play at the Riverside Theatres Parramatta (March 22) and then at the State Theatre (March 23 - 31). After that, the show heads for the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, where it plays at the Princess Theatre (April 4 - 15). Click on the official website for more info. You can also find out how Puppet Up! Uncensored developed by clicking on the Henson Company podcast over here.
