Ratatouille's website got a make-over, complete with poster, trailer and synopsis.
(Source: www.animated-news.com) Disney's site for Ratatouille (Pixar's 2007 offering) is pretty bare-bones for now, but hopefully things will get better. Right now you can check out the movie poster (a part of you can see top right), find out what the flick's about, and check out the hilarious trailer. So what's Ratatouille about? So glad you asked. According to the site, "a rat named Remy dreams of becoming a great French chef despite his family's wishes and the obvious problem of being a rat in a decidedly rodent-phobic profession. When fate places Remy in the sewers of Paris, he finds himself ideally situated beneath a restaurant made famous by his culinary hero, Auguste Gusteau. Despite the apparent dangers of being an unlikely and certainly unwanted visitor in the kitchen of a fine French restaurant, Remy's passion for cooking soon sets into motion a hilarious and exciting rat race that turns the culinary world of Paris upside down." Sounds like fun, and the fact that Brad Bird (who wrote and directed my fave Pixar flick,The Incredibles) wrote the story and screenplay is a major plus in my book. It's also interesting to note that, according to Disney, original director Jan Pinkava has been completely written out of the project, and Bird is now the guy in charge of writing and directing the movie. Pinkava is still listed as co-director on Ratatouille's IMDb site. So there you have it. You can check out the Ratatouille website in all its under-construction glory over here.
