Anchor Bay Entertaiment will release Scary Godmother: The Revenge of Jimmy, the second title in Jill Thompson's Scary Godmother series, on DVD on August 29.

Writer/illustrator Thompson created the first Scary Godmother graphic novel, Halloween Spooktacular, in 1997. Mainframe Entertainment later adapted the first two books into 3-D animated features, which gained widespread acclaim when they ran on The Cartoon Network during the run-up to Halloween.

Jill Thompson first rose to prominence as the illustrator for Neil Gaiman's Sandman: Brief Lives and the individual A Parliament of Rooks for the Sandman: Fables and Reflections compilation. She later won the 2004 Eisner Award for her work on the Sandman spinoff Death: At Death's Door.

The DVD of Scary Godmother: The Revenge of Jimmy will have a run time of 44 minutes, and will include deleted scenes, storyboards and interviews.
