ABC will offer DreamWorks holiday special for Christmas 2007
ABC Entertainment will air Shrek the Halls, a DreamWorks Animation Christmas special in December 2007. Mike Myers, Eddie Murphy & Cameron Diaz will reprise their roles.

ABC Entertainment and DreamWorks Animation are getting together to unleash Shrek the Halls on an unsuspecting public in December of 2007. The half-hour holiday special will have stars Mike Myers (Shrek), Cameron Diaz (Fiona), Eddie Murphy (Donkey) and Antonio Banderas (Puss in Boots) reprising their roles from the extremely successful animated franchise."The time has come to celebrate the joys of the holiday season with Shrek and his family," says DreamWorks Animation CEO Jeffrey Katzenberg, "and see how Christmas would play out in his world. Shrek the Halls follows a natural storytelling path for us, and we're so happy to be partnered with ABC in expanding the world of Shrek into the television arena".
"Family classics are a cornerstone of our brand," chimed in Stephen McPherson, president of ABC Entertainment, "and Shrek The Halls will provide warm memories year-after-year, and be a great addition to our library of holiday favorites such as Santa Claus is Comin' to Town and A Charlie Brown Christmas."
Shrek the Halls could very well become another holiday classic, much like A Charlie Brown Christmas. Or it could easily resemble another holiday classic: this (snicker).
