Katsura Hoshino's popular manga comic to become an anime. Gothic series will debut on Japanese TV in October.
(Source:ICv2</a) Manga publisher Shueisha announced that they will produce an anime series based on Katsura Hoshino's D. Gray Man. The manga series, which first serialized in 2004 in Weekly Shonen Jump, is a Gothic adventure (rated 16+) set in 19th Century Europe. It follows the adventures of Allen Walker, a young exorcist who fights the Earl of Millenium, a demonic entity intent on destroying humanity. Viz Media releasedVolume 1 in the U.S. on May 2nd to widespread acclaim. ICv2 placed it in their "Top 50 Manga Properties" in their Retailers Guide to Anime/Manga #15. D. Gray-Man will debut on Japanese TV in October.
