Sony wins distribution rights for animated feature based on Marjane Satrapi's bestselling graphic novels.
(Source:icv2.com) Sony is now the North American distributor for an upcoming animated movie based on Persepolis, the highly-regarded graphic novels by Marjane Satrapi. Persepolis is an autobiographical account of her Iranian childhood and life in France. They have been extremely well-received both among graphic novel fans and connoisseurs of serious literature. Production on the film is already underway, with Satrapi and Vincent Paronnaud co-writing and co-directing. Voice talent includes Chiara Mastroianni in the title role, alongside Catherine Deneuve, Danielle Darrieux, and Simon Abkarian. The film will also be dubbed into English.
