Warner Bros. releases horde of Superman DVD's to coincide with the release of Superman Returns. Bryan Singer movie comes out June 28.
(Source:Animated News) Warner Bros. is trying to get as much cash out of the June 28 release of Bryan Singer's live-action Superman Returns by releasing a ton of DVD's. From what I've seen, it really looks like they're combing the vaults for anything remotedly associated with the Man of Steel. All due June 20. Here's the list of animated releases: - Justice League: Season Two: I've heard really good things about this series. Unfortunately, my DVD player is misbehaving so I'm going to have to go 3rd hand on this one. - Krypto the Superdog: Vol. 1 Cosmic Canine: Yup, they actually went as far as Super Dog! Is this series any good, or does it suck as bad as I suspect? - Superman: The Animated Series - Volume Three: I've also heard good things about this series. - Superman: The Animated Series: Brainiac Attacks: The advance buzz on this DVD is pretty vile. The WB cut serious corners to get this sucker out on time and it shows. Either rent before you buy, or watch it for free at a hapless friend's. And for you live-action fiends: - Adventures of Superman: The Complete Third and Fourth Seasons: The classic series starring George Reeves. - Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman: The Complete Third Season: Teri Hatcher and Dean Cain in Metropolis. - Look, Up in the Sky: The Amazing Story of Superman: the documentary produced by Bryan Singer and Kevin Burns. It's Bryan Singer, so it should be good. Right? Right? - Superboy: The Complete First Season: The cover art is pretty funny, but the show lasted 4 seasons.
