The good folks at Animated News have managed to finagle the release date for Disney/Pixar's 2008 movie. This animated flick, so far entitled Wall-E, will hit theatres on June 27, 2008. I guess that gives Pixar's animated mavens a goal to work towards. This will follow up Brad Bird's 2007 effort for the company, Ratatouille.

There's not much information available about this flick, (it doesn't even have an entry on IMDb), so any plot details are pure speculation. The rumour going around is that it might be about a robot Millennium Man goes animated?). The one thing we definitely know is that Andrew Stanton is in the driver's seat as writer and director.

This is good news for Disney bean counters, since Andrew Stanton is best known for writing and directing Pixar's most financially successful movie to date, 2003's Finding Nemo. He also did some story work on Monster's Inc., Toy Story 1 and 2 and A Bug's Life.
